Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Night shift

Job summary: A production operator oversees and coordinates the production process, including operating machines, monitoring equipment, maintaining equipment, testing materials, enforcing safety, and packaging.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Log in and out of production jobs for accurate data collection.
• Run production jobs to standard, understanding targeted parts per hour.
• Set up machines accurately and timely (less than 1 hour 45 minutes).
• Notify a team leader when two scrap parts are produced for assistance.
• Fill out all production-related forms (operator log, inspection reports, job traveler, machine set-up sheets).
• Measure production parts hourly and document sizes every three hours.
• Follow product specifications to produce clean products free of dust or debris.
• Put away cleaning tools when not in use.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Manage tools in the toolboxes and report missing tools at shift start.
• Place first article trays with the production tool when removed from the machine.
• Put the blue book in the team leader's office after job completion.
• Fill out the job traveler sheet for reconciliation.
• Follow ISO processes for labeling and identification.
• Notify material handlers to return materials to inventory after each job.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good listening skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written communication; legible handwriting for logs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, twist, and turn for long periods.
• Ability to handle hand power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Vantage Plastics conducts pre-employment drug screening, THC is exempt from screening.
