Job description

Production Operator

Shift: 1st Shift

Hourly Pay Range: $20.80 - $29.80

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for making equipment adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Performing quality checks and recording results.
  • Changing settings on equipment during changeovers.
  • Properly recording all production numbers into the MDIS system.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting and follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
  • Computer skills for data entry and reporting, including handling quality data and comments related to production/loading operations.
  • Recognizing measurements outside specified ranges.
  • Reading measuring devices such as tape measures (down to 1/32'') and micrometers (down to 0.001'').
  • Completing documented inspection procedures.
  • Following instructions on work orders.
  • Using Microsoft Outlook for work-related emails.
  • Learning to operate plant equipment.
  • Familiarity with common hand tools (hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, putty knife).
  • Troubleshooting minor process issues.
  • Good communication skills with co-workers.
  • Recognizing unsafe conditions or hazards.
  • Cooperating with safety, quality, production, and maintenance teams.
  • Learning and retaining procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring product specifications online to ensure compliance.
  • Making adjustments to machines and processes to meet specifications.
  • Trained in forklift operation and safety, with current certification or ability to obtain it.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on qualifications and experience.
