Job summary

Silfab Solar in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Production Operator I to operate assigned machines safely and efficiently to produce quality products. You will follow standard work instructions, assemble and test components, perform basic electrical testing, and maintain a clean, compliant workstation while contributing to a team-focused environment.

You will need to read instructions in English, possess basic computer skills, and may benefit from soldering experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Soldering experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines according to position SWIs.
• Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
• Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements.
• Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems.
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
• Check final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods.
• Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

Summary of Position

As a Production Operator I, you will operate your assigned position or task safely and efficiently to optimally produce quality work. This may include the placement and testing of electrical components, cleaning of finished products, or loading of raw materials into machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines according to position Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
• Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
• Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements.
• Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems.
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
• Check final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods.
• Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

Skills

• Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, ability to distinguish between colors.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in English.
• Basic computer literacy
• Soldering experience is an asset.
