SUMMARY: Responsible for operating and maintaining the mechanical aspects of the Finishing Lines. Basic tools are to be supplied by the employee, with secure storage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate finishing lines as scheduled to meet production needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in the Rectify and Polishing departments, including:
• Replacing grinding wheels and saw blades on the rectifying line.
• Replacing flickers and refilling additives on the polishing line.
• Repairing and replacing belts and rollers on elevators, platforms, conveyors, etc.
• Leveling rollers, belts, and platforms.
• Replacing gearboxes.
• Rebuilding row formers.
• Replacing roller belt drives and chain drives.
• Checking, tightening, and replacing blower drive belts.
• Repairing Tecnoferrari loader/unloader.
• Repairing breakdowns not involving electrical components (worn gears, broken shafts, ripped belts, etc.).
• Assisting with process troubleshooting.
• Documenting work completed and noting potential problems for supervisor review.
• Willingness to work overtime and accept night/weekend call-ins for emergencies.
• Operating TGVs.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
