Hourly Rate: $22.50 per hour

Position: Production Operator at our Mattoon, IL Plant

Summary: Contribute to manufacturing metal insulated building panels as directed by the Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a skilled technical industrial machine operator with strong mathematical and communication skills, capable of understanding measurements, working collaboratively, applying critical thinking, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties:

1. Follow work assignments from Supervisor.
2. Operate and maintain machinery according to qualifications and needs.
3. Coordinate resource requirements with Supervisors and Team Leaders.
4. Maintain high team productivity by managing product changeovers and breaks.
5. Ensure products are manufactured within standard times, schedule, engineering specifications, and with minimal material and labor.
6. Meet quality standards by recording data, labeling materials correctly, and identifying non-conforming products.
7. Perform tasks per Standard Operating Procedures.
8. Complete Preventative Maintenance and report issues.
9. Maintain cleanliness and order within the work area.
10. Report underperforming staff or infractions to management.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field preferred.

Computer Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

• Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Require specific vision abilities and ability to stand for prolonged periods, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently walk, climb, or balance.
