Job summary

CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, Jeffersonville PV Cells Manufacturing, is hiring for Production Operator II. This full-time, on-site role involves assembling circuits, reading blueprints, operating automated equipment, and ensuring quality across multiple manufacturing steps.

You must work a 12-hour Continental shift (6pm–6am) and meet the high school diploma requirement; 2–4 years production experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years manufacturing/production experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks and stand long periods.
  • Able to work a 12-hour continental shift (6pm–6am).
  • Mandarin English bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assemble circuits requiring fine hand assembly.
  • Check final assemblies for finish, labeling, and packaging.
  • Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of components.
  • Operate and tend automated assembling equipment.
  • Ensure quality and report defects per work instructions.
  • Maintain safe, clean worksite and follow safety protocols.

Position Title:ProductionOperator II

TheProduction Operator IIis responsible for tasksinvolving physical laborin a manufacturingplant andwill be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. TheProduction Operatorwill be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established proceduresfollowing all safetyprotocols and workplace policies to ensure profitable business operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints,drawings,and specifications
  • Assemble circuits requiring fine hand assembly
  • Check final assembly for finish, labelling and packaging methods
  • Check mechanical dimensions and perform go-no-go electrical tests
  • Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies
  • Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems
  • Collect,record,andsummarize inspection results
  • Complete manual assembly, cleaning, testing, inspection work as per work instructions
  • Prepare and sort material as per work instruction, load/unload material onto machine or manualworkstations
  • Connect cables, tubes and wiresto complete assemblies and installations
  • Operate and tend automatedassembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipment
  • Conduct cosmetic, functional inspection as per work instruction, Mark,record,and report defects
  • Clean and performpreparationofworksite,workstation,and machines
  • Work with equipmentoperators to facilitate machine alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery equipment, and materials
  • Completion of other duties and projects as assigned
  • Ensure that all businessactivities areperformed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules andprocedures
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Able to work a ContinentalShift (12 hour shift 6pm – 6am)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate
  • 2-4 years experience (manufacturing/production experience)
  • Strong communicationskills
  • Demonstrated attention to quality anddetail
  • Able to performrepetitive tasks, walk and stand forlong periods of time and perform physical laboractivities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment
Preferred Qualification:
  • Previous experience as a General Labourer in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Existing knowledge of Workplace Safety, First Aid and CPRpreferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin
