Kimberly-Clark in Maumelle, AR is seeking a Production Operator Maintainer. You will perform minor maintenance using hand tools on equipment, understand operations, troubleshoot processes, and assist with training and shift hand-offs.

You’ll work closely with technicians to document issues and improve reliability on the line. The role requires 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, with heavy emphasis on safety, PPE use, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of continuous work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on process/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • Able to work a 12-hour shift, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Pass hands-on mechanical assessment and skill knowledge evaluation.
  • Pass pre-employment assessment and background check.
  • Pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
  • Adhere to Quality Requirements including gowning and hygiene. Must wear PPE.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds twice each hour; ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and ramps; bend/twist/crouch.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment using hand tools and basic machine parts.
  • Understand equipment operations and troubleshoot to adjust processes and escalate as needed.
  • Facilitate shift hand-off meeting with oncoming crew.
  • Advise on training needs and coordinate training for new hires or transitional employees.
  • Participate in on-shift problem solving and assist Day Process Technicians with training.
  • Troubleshoot process issues during upset conditions and follow shutdown/start-up procedures.
  • Support reliability and cost improvements to meet or exceed budgeted expectations.

In this role, you will:

  • Require a basic understanding of hand tools and machine parts and can utilize them to adjust and/or make repairs to equipment as this role includes minor maintenance work.
  • Require a basic understanding of equipment operations and troubleshooting skills to make process adjustment when necessary. Engaging appropriate resources while following an escalation process.
  • Facilitate shift hand-off meeting with oncoming peer/team.
  • Advise Machine Crew Leader on team training needs and working with MCL to coordinate all training of new hire/transitional employees, reporting on the line, that are not certified in position.
  • Participate with on shift problem solving, as needed.
  • Work closely with Day Process Technicians to document and train assigned Production Operators.
  • Understands asset theory of operations and can troubleshoot process issues during upset conditions and be able to follow shut-down/start-up procedures.
  • Support reliability and cost improvements such that productivity and maintenance spending meet or exceed budgeted expectations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
  • 1+ years of continuous work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on process/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Successfully passing a hands-on mechanical assessment and skill knowledge evaluation is required to be considered for this role.
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
  • Adhere to all Quality Requirements including strict Gowning and Hygiene requirements.
  • Must be able to wear the required PPE while performing tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds twice each hour.
  • Ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and ramps.
  • Perform bending, twisting, stooping, and crouching movements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer 1+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience or 2+ years of maintenance classes from a Technical Institute.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated facility.
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.

Starting Hourly Wage: $35.35 USD
