JOB DESCRIPTION:

Posted Position Title: (GS) Prod Oprtr - Assembly

Role Summary/Purpose:

The (GV) Prod Operator – Assembly will be responsible for building through-hole and surface mount printed circuit board assemblies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies and chassis, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation, and quality workmanship guidelines.
  2. Perform manual placement and hand solder through hole components per specifications.
  3. Prep circuit boards for stuff line and wave solder.
  4. Install electronic parts, apply solder mask, and apply solder tape to boards.
  5. Perform Electronic Data Entry work into computer system.
  6. Be responsible for crimping, soldering, auditing workmanship, reading drawings, and schematics.
  7. Be responsible for navigating through an inventory management system.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma / GED.

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Previous printed circuit board assembly experience.
  2. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to work in a multifunctional team environment.
  5. Basic computer skills.
  6. Ability to read and follow assembly instructions.
  7. Basic soldering skills.
  8. Basic component identification skills.
