Job description

- Responsible for manufacturing custom chemicals used in fertilizer, mining, industrial minerals, and road construction.

- Shift schedule rotates between days, nights, and weekends with 12-hour shifts (6am/pm - 6pm/am). Overtime may be required based on business demands.

- Collaborates with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Truck Drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Activities
  1. Load and unload products from/to bulk storage tanks, DOT-regulated tank trailers, overseas shipping containers, railcars, totes, and drums.
  2. Connect/disconnect hoses, open/close valves, and transfer products using liquid pumping systems.
  3. Monitor chemical processes using a Distributed Control System (DCS) computer system.
  4. Work in multiple areas during a shift as needed based on business demand.
  5. Verify proper chemical formula ratios using basic math.
  6. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  7. Complete paperwork, sign Bills of Lading, document material transfers, and placard vessels for safe transportation.
  8. Manage and document product transfers to maintain inventory levels.
  9. Secure and open dome lids on tank trailers, shipping containers, and railcars, including climbing ladders.
  10. Follow all safety rules and procedures in accordance with ArrMaz and OSHA standards.
  11. Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required.
  12. Enter work orders into computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to ensure equipment maintenance.
  13. Maintain a clean work area through routine housekeeping duties.
Context and Environment

- Location: Mulberry, Florida.

- Work environment is a chemical facility with outdoor conditions; frequent walking in a large production area.

- Must be able to safely perform all job duties.

- Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, bend, climb, stoop, and stand for long periods on concrete.

Skills and Abilities
  • Pass a job-related math exam and DOT placarding exam.
  • Read a tape measure.
  • Operate a DOT tank trailer transport vehicle and forklift.
  • Understand basic chemical properties and recognize hazards.
Qualifications/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a chemical-related field preferred.
  • Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification highly desired.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, physical abilities test, and pulmonary function test.
