Job Description

As a Production Operator at Bostik, you will be responsible for producing products according to batch formulations using various mixing, blending, and packaging equipment. You will follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality procedures to ensure safe production within specifications. Accurate recording of material usage and completion of process batch sheets are essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Follow all plant policies and practices to meet safety, quality, service, and cost objectives. Support Bostik's goal of zero workplace safety incidents and participate in EHS programs.
2. Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
3. Make minor adjustments to equipment for safe and efficient operation.
4. Follow process batch sheets to produce quality products per ISO standards.
5. Work cooperatively with all employees and leadership.
6. Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards.
7. Complete all required paperwork accurately.
8. Operate various equipment including mixers, blenders, packaging lines, forklifts, and basic hand tools.
9. Use computer controls to operate equipment.
10. Perform other duties as needed.

Work Environment

• Operate in a fast-paced production environment requiring safety, accuracy, and speed.
• Stand, lift up to 75 lbs, and walk throughout the workday.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Utilize production equipment, material handling equipment, and computers for data management and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with basic math and English skills.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Applications, Lotus Notes, and SAP.
• Forklift certification and experience.
• Ability to operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Willingness to work off shifts and overtime as required.
