Role Overview: The Production Operator rotates across various roles within a healthcare laundry plant, supporting the processing of linens in both Soil and Clean areas. Responsibilities include operating and learning equipment for receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and loading linens, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Employees must adapt to different positions through quick training, meet performance standards, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Duties

• Soil Operations: Safely sort returned soiled linens by classification, manage cart cleaning and sterilization, and ensure proper flow of laundry to washing stages.
• Clean Operations: Learn to operate equipment such as catchers, hand folders, ironers, and shipping clerks, performing tasks like stacking, folding, feeding linen into machines, and preparing carts for shipment.
• Quality & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and identify defective or non-company linens for removal.
• Teamwork & Flexibility: Rotate between tasks efficiently, support team efforts, and maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or GED preferred, excellent teamwork, adaptability to multiple roles, basic computer skills, good recordkeeping, and analytical abilities. Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations and comply with all safety and quality standards.
