Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) in Wheeling, IL is hiring an experienced Machine Operator to operate complex equipment and support production lines. You will set up machines, monitor processes, perform basic maintenance, and train newer operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).

Starting rate for this role is $23 per hour
