Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in Pearland, Texas is seeking a production assembler to operate and monitor assembly lines, perform inspections, and support change-overs. The role requires basic English/Spanish, teamwork, and the ability to meet line rates.

You will rotate through tasks on the assembly line, inspect products to ensure quality, and adhere to safety and standard operating procedures. Training and shift options are available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish or meet local language requirement.
• Three months of assembly experience required.
• Capable of rotating through and performing all tasks on the assembly line including precise motor skills.
• Ability to visually check work and identify correct assembly.
• Ability to follow instructions in repetitive tasks.
• Attentiveness in performing tasks and meeting line rate expectations.
• Team-based work on assembling sterile medical products.
• Ability to contribute new process suggestions.

Responsibilities

• May include but not limited to performing processes with quality specs while monitoring machines.
• Rotate through the assembly line performing all production assembly operations.
• Perform on-line and in-process visual inspection to meet specs.
• Assist Team Leader and Technicians with change-overs.
• Operate equipment at acceptable levels and ensure product quality.
• Reject non-conforming product and adhere to safety standards.
• May operate testing equipment for product/process testing.
• Perform other related assembly tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. May include but not limited to performing one or more processes within quality specifications while visually monitoring the machines/equipment used to ensure proper function.
2. Ability to rotate through the assembly line, performing all production assembly operations.
3. Performs on-line and in-process visual inspection of products to ensure it meets specifications per work order and procedure instructions.
4. Assists Team Leader and Technicians with product and/or machine change-overs.
5. Operates equipment at or above reasonable expectancy levels.
6. Ensures product assembled meets quality standards.
7. Rejects product outside of specifications.
8. Adheres to safety standards.
9. May operate a variety of testing equipment required for periodic product and process testing.
10. Working overtime may be required for this position.
11. Performs other related assembly and processing tasks, as required.

• Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.

• Ability to meet line rate expectations.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

At the Corporate site, if the position is on a Spanish-language line, it is preferred that the individual be Spanish speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish).
