Job Description

Responsible for performing multiple processes related to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Operate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; make machine adjustments and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
2. Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/customer specifications; take appropriate action concerning parts that do not meet standards and recommend solutions.
3. Transfer parts to the next process via computer software.
4. Load, unload, and stack products; transport products via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
5. Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
6. Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
7. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in mandatory areas.

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience

• Minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
• Read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
• Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment like SmartScope or CMM.
• Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to interpret blueprints and parts.
• Attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams from different backgrounds.
