Job summary

Merit Medical Systems is seeking candidates for a production assembly role in South Jordan, Utah. The position involves performing complex medical assembly tasks, rotating through the line, and ensuring products meet quality specifications.

Overtime may be required, with on-site safety and testing responsibilities. Minimum six months in assembly/manufacturing and ability to read/write English (or local language) are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English; local language requirements may apply.
• Minimum of six months of related work experience in assembly/manufacturing operations.
• Capable of rotating through all tasks on the assembly line including technical tasks that require precise motor skills.
• Ability to visually inspect work and identify correct assembly.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attentiveness and willingness to contribute process improvements.
• Ability to work as part of a team to assemble sterile medical products.
• Ability to meet line rate expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diverse medical assembly and processing tasks according to quality specs.
• Rotate through the assembly line to perform all production operations.
• Visually inspect products during on-line and in-process testing.
• Help Team Leader and Technicians with product/machine change-overs.
• Operate equipment and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Reject products outside specifications and follow safety standards.
• Use testing equipment for periodic product/process testing.
• Overtime may be required.
• Perform other related assembly and processing tasks as needed.

WORK SHIFT DAY (United States of America)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES Performs a variety of complex medical assembly and processing tasks as a production team member, including performing various technical assembly tasks.

1. Perform all processes within quality specifications while visually monitoring the machines/equipment used to ensure proper function.
2. Ability to rotate through the assembly line, performing all production assembly operations.
3. Performs on-line and in-process visual inspection of products to ensure it meets specifications per work order and procedure instructions.
4. Assists Team Leader and Technicians with product and/or machine change-overs.
5. Operates equipment above reasonable expectancy levels.
6. Ensures product assembled meets quality standards.
7. Rejects product outside of specifications.
8. Adheres to safety standards.
9. Operates a variety of testing equipment for periodic product and process testing.
10. Working overtime may be required for this position.
11. Performs other related assembly and processing tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish or meet local language requirement.

• Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.
• Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.

• Ability to work as a team member in assembling sterile medical products.
• Ability to meet line rate expectations.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• At the Corporate site, if the position is on a Spanish-language line, it is preferred that the individual be Spanish speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish).
