SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Performs various medical assembly and processing tasks as a production team member.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
- Assembles medical products on an assembly line, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis.
- Rotates through the assembly line as needed.
- Performs on-line and in-process visual inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Assists Team Leader and Technicians with product and machine change-overs.
- Ensures assembled products meet quality standards.
- Rejects products outside of specifications.
- Adheres to safety standards.
- Operates testing equipment for product and process testing as required.
- May require working overtime.
- Performs other related tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Lifting up to 50 lbs., depending on local practice.
- Writing, sitting, standing, bending.
- Visual acuity, color and depth perception.
- Reading, peripheral vision, fine motor skills.
- Exposure to noise, chemical vapors, soldering fumes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, Spanish, or meet local language requirements.
- Competency to rotate through assembly lines or work cells.
- Dexterity and fine motor skills for assembly tasks.
- Ability to visually inspect work and identify correctness.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks attentively.
- Teamwork skills for assembling sterile medical products.
- Ability to meet line rate expectations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three months of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Three to six months of tenure in the same company preferred.
- Spanish-speaking or bilingual skills preferred for Spanish-language lines.
COMPETENCIES
- Medical product assembly and eye-hand coordination.
- Assembly line rotation.
- Quality inspection.
- Operation of computerized testing equipment.
COMMENTS
Infectious Control Risk Category III: No exposure to blood or body fluids expected.
