Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a Production Operator II to join our team in manufacturing technical ceramics and metals. You will operate production equipment, follow work orders, and help maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality targets.

You will inspect parts for conformance, adjust machines as needed, and support transfers to the next process via computer systems. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred but not required.
  • At least 6 months manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and listening skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple basic production machines or a single complex production equipment per work orders; adjust machines as needed.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality/customer specifications and address non-conforming parts.
  • Transfer parts to the next process via computer software.
  • Load, unload, and stack product; transport using hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
  • Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
  • Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
  • Wear required PPE at all times in mandatory areas.

Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.Roles & Responsibilities:Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex, technical production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; makes machine adjustments and contacts appropriate person when neededInspects parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications and takes appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standardsTransfers parts to next process via computer softwareLoads, unloads and stacks product; transports product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoistCleans work area, machines, tools and equipmentTrains incoming operators on processes and proceduresWears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatoryJob Requirements:Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessaryExperience:A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experienceFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructionsRead/interpret standard and metric measurementsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.Assess product quality deficiencies to determine disposition; reporting to appropriate personMust exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skillsMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgroundsTarget Hiring Range: USD 16.00 - USD 19.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
