Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. is hiring a Production Operator II to operate and monitor production equipment, inspect parts for quality, and support transfer to the next process. Strong attention to detail and basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and safe operation.

Ideal candidates have at least six months manufacturing experience, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and the ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
• Read/interpret standard and metric measurements.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.
• Assess product quality deficiencies and report findings.
• Attention to detail and good listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic or complex production equipment to manufacture parts per work orders.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications; take corrective action as needed.
• Transfer parts to the next process via computer software.
• Load, unload, and stack product; transport with hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
• Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in designated areas.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex, technical production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; makes machine adjustments and contacts appropriate person when needed
• Inspects parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications and takes appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standards
• Transfers parts to next process via computer software
• Loads, unloads and stacks product; transports product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Trains incoming operators on processes and procedures
• Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary

Experience

• A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
