Responsibilities

• Package and palletize finished product from small to large containers.
• Maintain general housekeeping in work area.
• Clean grinders, extruders, and testing equipment.
• Operate forklift for material handling and loading.
• Record batch variables and log data for traceability.
• Follow ISO 14001 procedures and environmental requirements.
• Participate in safety programs and committees as required.
• Assist in weight-up and blending tasks as needed in the department.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, ensures proper running and cleaning of production equipment in the manufacture of powder coatings. Location: Warsaw, IN 2nd & 3rd shift opportunities available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Packaging and palletizing of finished product into boxes, drums, gaylords, and supersacks from 15 lb to 2000 lbs.
2. 2. General housekeeping.
3. 3. Cleaning grinders, extruders, testing equipment and charging equipment
4. 4. Forklift operation
5. 5. Floor Scrubber operation
6. 6. Sampling of raw materials and/or finished good.
7. 7. Recording of batch variables and logging data.
8. 8. Perform all work safely and injury-free. Must actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance.
9. 9. Perform duties according to ISO 14001 procedures and environmental Requirements
10. 10. Attend and participate in Warsaw Plant Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Plant Safety, Behavioral Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, ISO, Life Saving Rules or any other safety programs.
11. 11. Participate in the Warsaw Safety Journey. Adhere to the Golden Principle which is Simply to intervene to stop work if conditions or behavior are unsafe.

WEIGH UP OPERATORS

1. 1. Wash totes
2. 2. Charge product
3. 3. Weigh up critical raws
4. 4. Loading and blending of dry materials
5. 5. Sample room (pre-mix)
6. 1. Extrude/grind/sieve sample and obtain QC analysis for testing
7. 6. Stage raw materials for batches per batch tickets
