Job description

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Follow manufacturing procedures and guidelines to perform tasks as part of the production process, including loading materials into machines, removing packs, and sorting raw materials or finished products.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage and waste; clean production equipment and work areas.
  • Be accountable for setup, operation, and troubleshooting of equipment, including mechanical and programmable controls, and complete necessary adjustments for changeovers.
  • Visually inspect all incoming materials and outgoing products, making minor adjustments as needed.
  • Perform and evaluate package integrity tests.
  • Assist forklift drivers with issues related to pallets, slip sheets, and stretch wrappers.
  • Identify non-conforming products, such as poorly glued boxes, incorrect codes, or labels.
  • Report product or machine problems to relevant personnel using plant intercoms or 2-way radios.
  • Monitor computer terminals and OIT screens.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English; experience in manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed performance expectations in attendance, safety, and teamwork.
  • Familiarity with and ability to operate automated equipment, including fillers, palletizers, and casing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to sequence equipment for startup and shutdown, understanding machinery and conveyor controls.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks such as stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing while operating equipment.
  • Must possess a valid forklift license and operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift, with overtime and extended hours as needed, on any shift.
