Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, following written procedures, and supporting manufacturing operations with minimal supervision. Candidates must be flexible and willing to transition to a rotating swing shift schedule if business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment and machinery in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Read, understand, and accurately follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Perform in-process and final product inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Identify and report equipment, quality, or safety concerns to supervision
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to use or learn to use precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)."
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, including climbing stairs.
  • Use hands to finger, grasp, handle, feel or operate objects
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.
  • Occasionally must lift, pull, push and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary.
Preffered Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, or other inspection equipment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and continuous improvement principles.
