Qualifications

Description

Position Summary:

As a Soybean Meal Mill Technician I (Production Operator I), you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of our equipment that produces high quality feed grade soybean meal in our Safe Feed/Safe Food Certified facility. As a self-motivated, safety-minded, reliable team member with a strong mechanical aptitude, your primary duties will include monitoring equipment operation, conducting basic troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will be trained to test product quality, load and unload bulk tanker trucks and hopper bottoms, and maintain accurate production records. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn and develop skills in feed processing and is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety and team collaboration.

Location: (2) Reedsville and (2) Valders - WI

Reports To: Mill Plant Manager

Work Schedule:

• Nights: 5:00 pm to 5:00 am

• Nights: $25.00/hour ($24.00/hour + $1/hour night shift premium)

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor, operate and learn to troubleshoot our milling process for feed grade soybean meal in a safe and efficient manner

  • Conduct basic quality tests on soybean meal products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of bulk truckloads of soybeans and finished products
  • Maintain designated sanitary schedule and a safe work environment to Quality Roasting standards
  • Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of production

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices based on our Feed Safety Programs

  • Perform other tasks, as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, refinery operations or similar industry experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Desire to work in and contribute to a strong team environment
  • Reliable team member with a strong focus on quality and safety
  • Dependable and self-motivated
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, use fine finger movements and push/pull, carry/lift light to heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
