Job description

This position is for 1st shift Mon-Fri 5a-1:30p This position is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements as well as company procedures and policies

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Assembling, sanitizing and operating tablet presses or encapsulating machines

- Monitoring product for quality defects during production runs

- Monitoring machine for optimal operation during production runs

- Accurately calibrating machines and re-adjusting when necessary to achieve product specifications

- Maintaining production cell to ensure the quality of the product is never compromised

- Accurately recording tablet manufacturing weight, thickness and hardness on Production Batch Records

- Accurately recording capsule manufacturing weight on Production Batch Records

- Basic machine troubleshooting

- Alerting the Production Supervisor when there are problems or discrepancies with either the machines or products

- Accounting for and recording all losses occurred during a production run

- Moving the generated product to staging area at the end of each production run

- Disassembling and cleaning tablet presses and encapsulating machines

- Cleaning and prepping production rooms before production runs

- Effectively working, interacting and communicating with co-workers and leads/supervisors.

- Demonstrating professional behavior while working in a team approach to managing challenging situations

- Assisting in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all staff

- Performs other duties as assigned

Work Requirements and skills:

- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this position

- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to perform necessary duties

- Previous or similar workexperience is preferred, but not required

- Must be able to complete BRC Production Operator training

- Must demonstrate flexibility when re-prioritization is necessary

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment

- Must be able to work overtime when the company deems it necessary

- Ability to lift (up to 50-lbs), stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, step, climb occasionally during the duration of the shift
