Wilsonart in Columbia, SC is seeking a Warehouse Assistant I to support inbound and outbound material flows. You will receive goods, verify against orders, and help prepare shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include inspecting materials, stocking bins, and assisting customers while maintaining safety and accuracy. The role offers hands-on learning and opportunities for growth within our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to learn computer systems and inventory processes.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment with training.

Responsibilities

• Receives material from facilities and vendors.
• Checks materials and places in correct bin.
• Verifies material against manifest and reports discrepancies.
• Informs supervisor of defective materials.
• Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill orders and packs orders.
• Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders.
• Performs total skid count for loads.
• Assists customers as needed.

Job Description

Position Overview: Warehouse Assistant I

Performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
• Checks and places materials in the correct bin
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
• Informs supervisor of defective materials
• Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending ordersli>Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders
• Performs total skid count for loads
• Assists the needs of the customer

• Ability to learn computers sufficient to check inventories
• Ability to learn materials inventoried
• Ability to learn packing techniques
• Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to drive a lift truck

• Ability to operate a table saw
• Ability to enter data at an acceptable speed

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED

Experience

1+ years of relevant warehouse experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT:

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
