Position Title: Production Operator I

Location: Bellevue, OH

Shift: 12-Hr Day Shift - 6am-6:30pm (2-2-3 Schedule; every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday required)

Position Overview

The Production Operator I reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The job holder is responsible for operating equipment and all related processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules.

Primary Responsibilities

• Preparation of raw materials from staging to weighing.
• Operating processing equipment according to process instructions and procedures.
• Monitoring equipment to maintain desired run rates.
• Completing initial testing and product release to ensure specifications are met.
• Checking labels & packaging materials, ensuring correct labeling according to rules and instructions.
• Packaging final products following instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
• Carrying out operations in compliance with Quality Standards, Operating Procedures, and legal/EHS rules.
• Maintaining housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.
• At least 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
• Background in plastics machine operation.
• Ability to be cross-trained on all production process equipment.

Physical Environment

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Walking, climbing stairs, lifting boxes, stretching, reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Work conditions include normal chemical environment factors like temperature, dust, smell, and noise.

Salary is $20/hr, based on various factors including education, experience, certifications, and location.
