Job summary

Butterball Farms in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a production Operator to support high‑volume butter processing in a fast‑paced plant environment.

You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, monitor quality, and follow GMP and safety procedures while collaborating with a team to meet production goals.

Experience in food manufacturing is a plus; strong physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work various shifts are important.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good eye-hand coordination and ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to read and understand standard work instructions and GMP policies.
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple shifts and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and resolve machine issues per production specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks using appropriate tools.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to meet line targets and ensure quality.
• Monitor weights and product consistency; adjust tunnel controls as needed.
• Record downtime and material usage; ensure inventory accuracy.
