Job summary

Butterball Farms, Inc. is seeking a production operator to join our Grand Rapids team. You will set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the butter production line to ensure continuous flow and high-quality output.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong eye-hand coordination, and the ability to work at a fast pace while following GMP and PPE requirements. Opportunities for growth and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and understand standard work instructions.
• Maintain product quality; follow GMP policies and PPE requirements.
• Flexible to work shifts with high work volumes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and resolve machine issues in accordance with production specifications.
• Use appropriate tools to perform and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with the Maintenance team for support when needed.
• Learn and perform all line-related positions within the area of responsibility.
• Monitor product weights and ensure consistency.
• Adjust tunnel controls to maintain operating parameters.
• Maintain logs and track inventory used in production.
• Safely lift and load blocks of butter to maintain continuous feed.
• Collaborate with team to achieve production rate.
• Inspect products for quality and report concerns.
• Conduct equipment changeovers efficiently as part of a team.
