Forklift Operator - 2nd shift

2:30pm - 10:45pm

Hourly rate, starting $22.69 - $29.30 per hour

Job Title: Production Operator (Forklift)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
  • Use of forklift in the timely loading or unloading of finished product and raw materials to/from trucks/railcars, and from the production line.
  • Interpret customer orders so as to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.
  • Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.
  • Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
  • Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
  • Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
  • Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
  • Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
  • Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
