Job summary

Elite Staffing Inc. in Malvern, AR is seeking a Production Operator/ Extrusion Operator to run the extruder and produce rolls that meet quality specs. You will manage material poundage, complete production documents, and follow SOPs in a GMP environment.

The role requires ability to lift 30–50 pounds, perform extrusion or thermoforming, and support safety compliance. Shift rotates 12 hours (2/2/3) with night/day changes every 10 weeks; pay is $17.00 per hour and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push and/or pull 30–50 pounds.
• Operator Qualified in either extrusion or thermoforming.
• Must have less than 6 attendance frequencies.
• No Step 2 corrective actions within the last six months.

Production Operator/ Extrusion Operator

JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Operate extruder to produce rolls that conform to all quality and profile specifications
• Maintain accurate account of all poundage produced on extruder
• Responsible for accurately completing and processing all documents necessary for tracking
• Extrusion operations, including condition sheets (three times per shift)
• Make blends, cut and process extruder rolls-Follow standard Operating Procedures
• Change screens each shift, additional may be required if pressure gets high and after color changes.
• Some Extruders have an automatic screen changer and some are manual.
• Handle extruder maintenance according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Check silos and rail car
• Run reclaim according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Handle color and product changes on extruder
• Communicate all pertinent information at shift change
• Understand and practice all safety procedures and rules
• Responsible for reporting issues that need repair to the supervisor on duty in a timely manner, allowing maintenance repair or proper reporting into Maintenance Connection.
• Know locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers in your area
• Fully train new operators, checking off on training checklists
• Provide relief to other members of team as necessary
• Operate a forklift
• Perform extruder testing three times during a 12 hour period.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Knowledgeable about Extrusion Processes or ability to learn
• Must be able to learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of business computer applications and all other duties as assigned by supervisor

GMP Responsibilities:

• All associates are responsible to comply with operational methods, personnel practices and all communicated requirements to ensure a safe and productive work environment and overall product safety.
• Execute said duties to maintain compliance with stated product safety/GMP, legal, regulatory and quality systems requirements.
