Job summary

Tioga Pipe, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator in Easton, PA 18040 to join a team in a dynamic industrial distribution environment. You will receive, store, and distribute materials and tools within the facility, supporting production and shipment activities.

Responsibilities include reading schedules, conveying items, counting and weighing stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Strong basic math and safety awareness are essential for success in this role.

Position Summary

Work in a team environment serving as Production Operator in a dynamic industrial distribution business. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from Receiving or Production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Uses computer and/or bar code scanner to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Drives vehicles to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Maintains inventory records.
SAW DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Able to process a cut order to include the following: perform actual physical cutting of pipe, generate stencil and apply to cut piece and drop, maintain the order in the operating system.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the saws to include but not limited to the following: greasing, checking of all fluids, leveling of rollers.
  • Capable of training others to proficiency on levels 1 and 2.

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Stooping does occur to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
