Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in the United States (New York area) is seeking an entry-level operator to assist in setup and operation of corrugated box equipment to meet customer specifications. You will help install dies and printing plates, monitor machine performance, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

The role requires basic math and tape-measure reading, willingness to work daily overtime and weekends, and adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Required to work daily overtime and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator and Assistant Operator in setup and operation of equipment.
• Operate equipment to maintain productivity, quality, and safe machine performance.
• Shut down equipment and notify a supervisor immediately if major issues occur.
