Job summary

Balchem Lincoln, Nebraska location is seeking a diligent production operator to join our team on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. You will be responsible for maintaining the continual operation of the Cooker and Extruder machines, keeping the workspace clean and safe, and adhering to OSHA standards and Balchem policies.

The ideal candidate will understand the manufacturing process from raw material to finished product, follow instructions, work in a team, and maintain high-quality work standards at all

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training is preferred.
• Motivation, organization, time management, and communication skills (both orally and written).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Color vision is required.
• Ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Cooker and Extruder, adjust settings, and perform basic troubleshooting following SOPs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure product flow to surge bin.
• Record data and report discrepancies; update ERP accordingly.
• Maintain a sanitary work area and comply with OSHA and Balchem procedures.
• Communicate with other Operators and monitor timing and speed to meet product standards.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
