Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate and maintain assigned line to maintain safety, quality and productivity. Including such activities as prepping for roll production, doffing rolls, packaging rolls, line start-ups, operational maintenance and cleaning.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Actively participate in risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility.
  • Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and support implemented corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety observation programs as required.
  • Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach within the department and plant.
  • Operate and Maintain Line to established standards.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as: patrols, housekeeping sheets, doff quality coding, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine.
  • Make adjustments to machinery as needed.
  • Suggest improvements to processes or procedures.
  • Coordinate with lab personnel, Team Leader and Engineering for issues and improvements.
  • Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment.
  • Train others as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility (preferably textiles or roll goods) strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard office machines and computer software including MS Office Suite- Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • General understanding of machinery and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with building occupants, contractors, and management.
