Job summary

Magnera Corporation seeks a Machine Operator (Doctor Dept) in Tennessee to help produce and control film quality while ensuring safety and customer specs. You will work with the Lead Operator and Production Manager to meet site goals and maintain product integrity.

Responsibilities include documenting issues, training new hires, labeling and packing to spec, and performing quality checks with data recorded on checklists to support continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • S. Diploma or GED.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of office machines (computer and printers) and business procedures; mechanical and mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately report and document problems, downtime and corrective measures in the log book.
  • Assist in training new hires.
  • Ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
  • Verify outgoing products are labeled and packaged to customer specs.
  • Maintain housekeeping on the line per GMP & 5S guidelines.
  • Follow safety policies and demonstrate a safety-conscious manner.
  • Ensure proper use of facility equipment and coordinate with maintenance for preventive tasks.
  • Maintain daily production rate and minimize downtime to maximize output.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

TheMachine Operator (Doctor Dept)willAssist in producing and controlling the quality of film produced. They are tasked with ensuring product quality and control of production processes, providing a safe work environment through proper training and communication.Thispositionis responsible forworking closely with the Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager to ensure customer quality expectations and site goals andobjectivesarebeing met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately report and document any problems, issues,downtimeand corrective measures in thelinelog book.
  • Assistsin the training of new hires.
  • Responsible for ensuring finished products are within customer specifications.
  • Ensure and verify all outgoing products are labeled and packaged according to customerspecifications.
  • Responsible for housekeeping on the line and adjacent areas. Follow GMP & 5S guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate asafetyconscious manner.
  • Ensure proper and safe use of all facility equipment.
  • Work with maintenance technicians to complete minor and preventative maintenance on the line
  • Maintain communication with Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager of any problemsor issues experienced on the line that could result in an extended period of downtime.
  • Maintain daily productionrateat acceptable levels asdeterminedby management. Keep machinedowntime to a minimum to maximize output rates.
  • Support plant and company goals.
  • Perform all quality checks accurately and ensure that all data is recorded properly on checklists.
  • Can make quality decisions on materials for shipment or rejection.
  • Ensure thatoncomingshift has all materials needed to get started at the beginning of the shift.
  • Ensure that all FIFO requirements are followed.
  • EnsureLean Initiatives are achieved.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • S. Diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeof andskills in the use of office machines (computerand printers) and business procedures. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience.

  • Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending (20%), standing and walking (65%), occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs, pulling and pushing (15%utilizingmaterial handling equipment to lift & move rolls averaging 175lbs), manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish numbers & letters.
  • While performing the duties of thejobthe employeeregularly worksnear moving machinery and forklift traffic.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent excursions into high noise areas
  • Occasionallifting upto 35 lbs., and the use of equipment.
