Job summary

Edgewell is seeking a Production Operator for Blade Finishing in Knoxville, TN. This full-time, day-shift role (7:30am - 7:30pm) is project-based with an end date around December 2027 due to plant relocation.

You will operate blade-making machinery, perform quality checks, and support maintenance as needed. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, are mechanically inclined, can read gauges, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must have at least six (6) months of manufacturing experience.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to read and interpret instruments and gauges.
• Must be able to calculate basic math.
• Past experience with hand tools and gauges is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates quality awareness and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate all pre-grind blade making machinery and peripheral equipment to obtain product of acceptable quality.
• Set up, adjust and operate machinery to obtain product of acceptable quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Perform and record quality checks.
• Relieve operators as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Purpose of Position

Set up, adjust and operate all pre-grind blade making machinery and peripheral equipment to obtain product of acceptable quality.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Procedures

• Set up, adjust and operate all pre-grind blade making machinery and peripheral equipment to obtain product of acceptable quality.
• Set up, adjust and operate machinery and equipment to obtain product ofacceptable quality.
• As required, perform preventive maintenance
• Perform and record Quality checks.
• As required, relieve operators.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must have at least six (6) months of manufacturing experience
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages.
• Must be able to calculate basic math.
• Past experience with various hand tools and gages.
• Good Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Communication Skills, both Verbal and Written.
• Demonstrates quality awareness and attention to details.
• Demonstrates problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in Stamping, Perforating or Heat-Treating a plus.
