Gertens Family of Businesses in Delano, MN, is seeking a Production Team Member to help process, mix, and bag bird seed in a modern, climate-controlled facility. The role involves handling materials, inventory, and general plant maintenance with a focus on safety and quality.

You will lift 50-pound bags, operate equipment, and contribute to a high-efficiency production line. This position offers training, skill development, career growth, and a schedule with 2nd shift hours (Mon-Fri, 12p-8:30p).

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and full panel drug test prior to starting.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a climate-controlled facility.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production plans.
• Set scale weights accurately.
• Feed bags through sewing machines or heat sealers.
• Stack completed bags onto pallets or into boxes.
• Move completed pallets using an electric pallet jack.
• Shrink-wrap pallets using automated and manual methods.
• Assist in mixing and blending feed.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Operate a forklift (training provided).
• Operate a yard dog to move trailers safely for production and shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the feed mill.
• Assist customers in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and management.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
