Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Ensure linen being processed belongs to the assigned account.
  • Identify any damaged, dirty, or mixed linen and place it in the correct containers.
  • Maintain an average of 85% or above for production based on the IT system in place (Spindle).
  • Perform any other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

General Purpose

This position is responsible for properly recognizing the correct linen belonging to the account being processed. You must ensure there is no mixed, dirty, or damaged linen before feeding it into the machine or hand‑folding it. Maintain a fast pace speed meeting company’s expectations while practicing safety procedures. In addition, the Production Operator will help ensure the machinery is working properly by communicating with their leaders any issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Feed machinery with sheets, duvets, bathrobes, pillowcases, towels, tablecloths, napkins, mats.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working station.
  • Ensure that linen being processed belongs to the assigned account.
  • Identify any damaged, dirty, or mixed linen and place it in the correct containers.
  • Maintain an average of 85% or above for production based on the IT system in place (Spindle). Must always be logged into the IT system while working on the machine.
  • Perform any other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • 3 months or more related experience in a commercial laundry or hotel industry.
  • Ability to understand, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and product labeling.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to meet required performance goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and alone.
  • Good communication skills, both orally and written in English.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
Working Conditions

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to moving parts, electricity, gases, and chemicals may occur. The role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 lbs. Employees should be prepared for environments that can be hot or cold, noisy, and may require hearing protection. Extended periods of standing, walking, and precise hand movements are common.
