Job summary

Mercury Plastics in Middlefield, CT is seeking a Production Operator for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am), Sunday–Thursday. Starting wage is $17.00–$18.50 per hour with vacation after 30 days and excellent benefits including a 401(k) plan.

The role involves loading material, operating equipment, inspecting parts, and packing for shipment. No experience is required; training will be provided. The job requires standing for periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and following safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Load or insert product into various machines and activate the machine.

• Maintain cycle times to meet/exceed minimum rates.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality.
• Pack finished parts for shipment, may include packaging tape.
• Keep equipment and work area clean.

SCOPE:
The Production Operator works in a team environment; loading product and material into equipment and containers, counting and packing product, and ensuring quality while meeting expected output.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• No experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load or insert product into various machines and actvate the machine

• Pack finished parts for shipment, may include using packaging tape
• Keep equipment and work area clean
• Know and follow all OSHA and Mercury Plastcs safety rules
• Read and Interpret Work Instructons

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a tme.
• Must be able to periodically lif and carry to up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to twist, pull, push, and bend.
• Must be able to identfy quality variances visually.
