Magna Seating Columbus is seeking a skilled assembler for a 2nd shift position from 3 pm to 1 am, with overtime and weekend work as scheduled. Starting wage is $18.58/hour plus a 0.75/hour shift premium. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) with match, and more.

Job duties include operating assembly machines, building components to standard work, and reporting quality issues. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be at least 18 years old.

Job Responsibilities:

This is a 2nd shift position, 3 pm - 1 am with OT & weekends, as scheduled.

Starting wage is $18.58/hour + 2nd shift premium of .75 cents/hour

Responsibilities:

Operate various machines involved in the assembly of parts by inspecting and inserting pieces, activating machines, unloading and inspecting assembled parts.

Assemble components and parts in accordance with standardized work

Report any damage or quality issues resulting from damage

Apply operator instruction sheets, quality specifications, safety standards for sub-assembly and assembly of parts and components and inspection of parts as required

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods working on feet performing repetitive actions that require frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and/or lifting from the floor, waist, overhead, chest, and/or knee level; may also be required to squat, kneel, push, pull, carry, grasp with hands and fingers; use of hand tools

Visual acuity is necessary to read instructions, manipulate parts, tools, machines and other objects.

Hearing acuity to understand verbal instructions, respond to emergency signals.

Prolonged exposure to moderate to high levels of noise, laser beams, flashing or blinking lights, machine signals and other sounds associated with a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of safety glasses and safety footwear is required.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
