Job summary

Quanex in Cambridge, OH is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm, Mon-Fri) to produce quality products with minimal scrap. The role emphasizes safe operation, timely changeovers, and teamwork to meet production goals.

Eligible candidates have at least one year in manufacturing, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and apply Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; notify supervisor of any safety issues.
• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours.
• Maintain a neat, orderly work area per 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by supporting co-workers.

Hourly Rate: $18/hr. + $1/hr. shift differential

2nd Shift M-F - 2pm to 10pm (overtime potential)

What Success Looks Like

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely


• Produce and use Material Identification labels

• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notify supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues


• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day

Your Credentials

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment


• High School or GED preferred


• Willing to work overtime including weekends
