Job Description: Production Operators (2nd Shift) at A. O. Smith – Ashland City. We have multiple openings at our Ashland City manufacturing plant for residential water heaters.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components
• Some operations may involve robotic and manual welding
• Spray components with ceramic/ glass coating
• Hang/Unhang tanks from paint hangers
• Operate basic hand tools (manual and automatic) for occasional or extended periods
• Set up heavy equipment

Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work 2nd shift (earliest start time 2:00 PM, latest end time 1:30 AM, depending on role)
• Constant standing/walking with frequent bending and reaching
• Must lift 50–75 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is warmer in summer and cooler in winter
• Must read, understand, and comply with specific work instructions
• Must promote and comply with safety and quality standards
