Job summary

CPS Inc. in Burlington, WI is seeking a Production Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift. This full-time role offers $19.00/hour and focuses on safety, quality, and adherence to established manufacturing processes.

You will set up, operate, monitor, and document production activities, handle samples for testing, and maintain a clean, organized work environment while following GMP and HACCP practices as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in chemical or food processing preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• GMP/HACCP training is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across departments with initiative.

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, is seeking a Production Operator, Treated Silica to join their Burlington, WI manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production opportunity for someone who takes pride in safety, quality, and following established manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment used to produce and package products.
• Monitor production batches for quality and applicable food safety parameters.
• Accurately record production and testing data.
• Draw product samples for quality testing.
• Fill containers with finished products.
• Clean equipment, utensils, and work areas according to established procedures.
• Promptly report food safety, physical safety, and product quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• High school-level proficiency in reading and mathematics.
• Two or more years of chemical or food processing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• GMP and HACCP training is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work effectively with colleagues across departments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks.
• Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
