Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Production Operator to support kiln and post-kiln operations on the 1st shift (6:00 AM–4:00 PM), Monday through Thursday. The role offers a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with a 3-day weekend and benefits starting day one.

You will inspect products, follow work specifications, set up daily work, and track outputs in the production system while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in production/manufacturing.
• Basic reading and comprehension.
• Able to work around ceramics, solvents, dust, metals.

The Production Operator will work in any or all kiln and post‑kiln operations as determined by the area supervisor based on the daily work‑in‑process and operational situations on the production floor. The candidate that fills this position will work 1st shift (6:00 AM-4:00 PM) Monday‑Thursday.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Inspect products for flaws through a microscope and report flaws to area lead or supervisor.
• Review and follow work specifications.
• Set up standard daily work.
• Track and input work order moves and product output into production move system.
• Work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust, and liquid & solid metals.
• Train and work where assigned in pre‑ and post‑kiln operations.
• Work effectively on individual job assignments or as a member of a team.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties or flex to other areas as required by supervisor.
• Assist in the training of new operators when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Experience Years: 1 or more years
• Experience Type: Production/Manufacturing
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic reading and comprehension
• Ability to tolerate work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust, and liquid & solid metals

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
