POSITION TITLE: Production OperatorPAY GRADE: Non-Exempt / Grade 1BUSINESS UNIT: Residential Business Unit Dept: 10-FiberglassBOX ProcessingREPORTS TO: Supervisor-ProductionAllied Moulded Products, Inc. Demonstrates safe work practices in all they do and has no hesitation notifying anyone of an unsafe situation. Can work as a cohesive team and has the skill to identify problems and recommend improvements to provide quality, on time products to our customers.1.0 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment when required.Start and shutdown machines and monitor their operations, restocking materials as required.Ability to learn different equipment/operations and able to rotate to all work centers within the area.Ability to pack products in an efficient manner.Consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals.Read & interpret work orders along with production schedule.Follow company policies and procedures.Maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality audits per quality plans.Ability to perform basic troubleshooting (such as repair quick thread device, dislodge nails, etc.)Ability to use hand tools, wrenches, hammer, screwdriver, pliers, utility knife, etc.Always maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation areas.Determine and report product quality issues to appropriate parties.Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.Targeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labor).Communicate effectively with supervisors, group leads and business unit managers.Creating and continually improving upon a culture of teamwork, accountability, and trust by modeling expectations and providing positive feedback to drive desired behaviors.Documenting and submitting performance reporting as required.Gaining knowledge and keeping up to date on safety and quality regulatory notices.Responsible for maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures.Performing other duties, as assigned.2.0 REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
