Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Big Island containerboard mill in Virginia is seeking Production Operators (Service Crew) to safely operate machines and meet production and quality goals on a 12-hour rotating shift. These team members will work days and nights, with overtime as needed, and contribute to a high-performance workflow in a multi-area mill environment.

Starting pay is $24.57/hour with a $1.08 night differential, plus paid time off, potential quarterly bonuses, healthcare, a 401k plan, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in farming, carpentry, construction, warehouse, military, production or manufacturing.
• Experience using a computer for email, internet and basic applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform operator care duties and basic maintenance tasks.
• Safely operate machines to meet production and quality goals.
• Learn multiple operator functions across mill areas.
• Maintain housekeeping to keep machinery and plant area clean.
• Work in a hot, humid, and noisy industrial environment.
• Operate mobile equipment and participate in safety initiatives.
