Job summary

DuBois is seeking a Production Handler for the Coatings Removal team in Missouri. You will prioritize daily tasks, load/unload ovens, dip systems, and package products, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing, forklift experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, strong communication, and a basic knowledge of ISO/OSHA/EPA regulations. A team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience (certification preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with routine reports and correspondences.
• Basic math and chart interpretation abilities.
• Experience with warehouse management software and ISO/OSHA/EPA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily tasks and loads/unloads for speed and safety.
• Operate coating removal processes, dip systems and related equipment.
• Package product for shipment and maintain accurate logs.
• Rotate parts through stripping, wash, RP, dry-off, and packing areas.
• Power wash parts with a high-pressure washer and manage weight logs.
• Complete wash logs, oven logs and weight charts; operate scales.
• Follow safety policies, PPE requirements, SDS procedures and government regs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and customers.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Handler – Coatings Removal works as a member of the Coatings Removal team adhering to productivity standards in accordance with company prescribed safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• - Prioritizing daily tasks
• - Loads and unloads ovens and tanks
• - Processes product though chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations
• - Packages product for shipment
• - Complies with the benchmark processing times
• - Rotates parts from the stripping process to the wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing area
• - Power wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washer
• - Load hand baskets and rotate parts from one basket to the other
• - Identify and sort parts to download into containers
• - Reposition parts
• - Complete wash logs, oven logs, and weight charts
• - Operate scales
• - Start burn off oven and dry-off oven
• - Participates in continuous improvement activities
• - Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• - Ensuring highest level of safety standards
• - Effectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers
• - General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
• - Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
• - Follow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
• - Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• - 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience
• - 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience [prior certification preferred]
• - Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., safety rules, operating, etc.)
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• - Ability to communicate well with the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, employees, contractors, vendors, customers, and senior leaders.
• - Proficient with writing routine reports and correspondences
• - Basic mathematical aptitude (i.e., fractions, decimals, compute rate, ration, and percents, interpret bar graphs, etc.)
• - Experience troubleshooting and solving practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• - Experience with warehouse management software
• - Proficient in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365]
• - Demonstrated experience adhering to deadlines
• - Knowledge of tools and equipment
• - Excellent customer service skills
• - Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations preferred
• - A professional and positive attitude
• - Able to lift 50 lbs.
• - Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• - Standing and /or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
• - Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• - Experience in the Coatings Removal industry a plus!
