Job summary

Job Overview

Production Operator at Beyond Meat, Inc. working in pilot plant production and packaging.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily production activities and operate equipment under supervisor guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including sweeping, trash removal, and janitorial duties.
  • Prepare machinery and tools for sanitation or assist with breakdown and cleaning.
  • Operate trucks and industrial vehicles to transfer product from warehouse to production to freezer as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in clean, good, and safe working condition and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in assembling and verifying machinery is set up and ready for daily production and set to spec.
  • Prepare workstations, gather required tools, and retrieve daily batch sheets.
  • Follow all Food Safety policies, verify ingredients within specifications of customers and regulations.
  • Help junior Production Operators.
  • Support process improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor or leader immediately.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and respond to requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferably experience in food manufacturing, especially food manufacturing.
  • Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Understanding and following safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Teamwork and positive attitude essential to maintain a cooperative culture.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Punctuality and dependability.
  • Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high‑growth environment.
Work Environment

Warehouse and production manufacturing environment includes tempered and ambient areas. Requires standing or sitting for prolonged periods, lifting minimal 50 lbs. May need to climb stairs or a ladder, tolerate cold temperatures (-10 to -40°F), high worker traffic, loud noises, odors, dust, and varying temperatures. Work flexible shifts as required.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate commensurate with experience, starting base pay between USD $20 and $23 per hour. The base may be modified. Anticipated eligibility for bonus and benefits.
