Job summary

Flint Group is seeking a Production Operator to produce inks and intermediates, following SOPs, operating mixers, pumps, filters, hoists, and forklifts. Work includes handling chemicals, batch processing, data recording, and maintaining a safe, clean work area, with the possibility of shift work and temperature extremes.

Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs, maintain attendance, and have reliable transportation.

Job Description:

• To produce a variety of inks and ink intermediates by following standard operating procedures. Operator will carry out various tasks in the preparation, reaction and storage of a variety of products, using mixers, pumps, filters, hoists, forklifts and other manufacturing equipment. The Operator will come in contact with a variety of chemicals and chemical waste products, some of which can be hazardous.
• Batch processing includes charging material, processing batch, monitoring and recording data, loading, unloading and cleaning equipment, packaging product, maintaining a safe and orderly work area, assisting other production areas as needed. The successful candidate must possess the following:
• Must be able to work independently, be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out and be able to work any shift.
• Must become thoroughly knowledgeable in the process of producing a quality batch and must be able to troubleshoot any issues that occur during the process.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the process.
• Perform daily housekeeping of his/her area and all equipment.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record which will be monitored continuously.
• Be knowledgeable and adhere to all safety requirements.

Cross training includes but not limited to:

• Batch-Weighing
• Mill operation
• Forklift training
• Safety Training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
