Job summary

GAF in Florida is seeking a production operator to safely run equipment, load and unload with a forklift, and maintain accurate records on the production floor.

You will join a collaborative machine crew, uphold strict safety practices, and support ongoing operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience, with overtime and weekend work expected.

• One year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe manner to prevent damage and injuries.
• Wear safety and health protective equipment as specified and follow all safety rules.
• Safely load and unload material using a forklift.
• Keep accurate operational records as directed.
• Work as a member of the machine crew during downtime, start-up, changes, and cleanup.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for operation of equipment in a safe manner to prevent damage to equipment and to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
• Must wear all safety and health protective equipment as specified. Must follow all safety rules.
• Must be able to safely load and unload material using a fork-lift.
• Must keep accurate operational records as directed.
• Must participate fully as a member of the machine crew during downtime and start-up, product changes, operational problems, clean up, etc.
• Responsible for housekeeping lists in your assigned area.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One year of relevelant experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with solid manufacturing experience, consistent work history, demonstrated reliability, high mechanical aptitude, and/or leadership experience.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $26.36
