GAF Materials Corp. in Mount Vernon, IN is seeking a production operator to safely run assigned equipment, assist with product changes, and maintain clean, organized work areas.

You will complete testing, log data, and support uptime by clearing jams and performing basic maintenance; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Essential DutiesResponsible for safe operation of equipment; preventing damage to equipment and preventing injuriesParticipates fully as a member of the crew during downtime and start-up, product changes, operational problems, and clean up.Assists in sheet breaks, threading machine and product changes.Will assist in clearing machine jams to keep product movingResponsible for basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of assigned equipmentCompletes product testing in accordance with product specification and records data on applicable sheets or computer systems. Keeps the supervisor informed of variations in the production process at all times.Maintains work area in neat and orderly condition per housekeeping procedures for the departmentOperates forklift in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications RequiredH.S.
